Piccola Cucina Estiatorio has great food--pasta was fresh, flavorful, and had a wonderful texture, but it cooled quickly. The tiramisu wasn't made tableside as expected. The space had charming NYC-meets-Europe vibes but was loud and crowded, not ideal for a date. Still, a solid spot for tasty Italian!

This is a great spot to check out if you're looking for a very intimate, authentic Italian spot! We visited their Spring St. location which was soo small, so absolutely get reservations. The food was hot, tasty, and made me feel like I was back in Italy! To end the night order their tiramisu - it is made RIGHT IN FRONT YOU!! Shoutout to our waiter, Sebastian, who was very patient with us as we took our time. He explained the menu thoroughly and provided great recomendations. He also took the time to celebrate our anniversary. They change the music, ring a bell, and celebrate special occasions. Great experience, thank you!

My son suggested that we meet him here while we were both visiting NYC. We were told to meet at 2:05 pm and then were seated in this tiny establishment. As soon as I walked in I knew the food was good from the smells alone. The arancini was prepared perfectly -- crisp on the outside and moist and tasty on the inside. The tomato soup was rich and interestingly enough had a cheese pull. My husband wouldn't eat it because although he likes soup tomato is not his favorite. All 4 of us had a taste but ultimately I finished it off. I had the lasagna and oh was it rich. It was also enough for 3 meals so 3/4s left me. The cannoli was excellent-- crisp and filling not too sweet. My son had the tiramisu-- a table side preparation. I loved this placed and would return to try other delicious food.

Omg. So glad this was my last real meal in NYC. The pasta was phenomenal and our server, Elideth, was the best! I narrowed my picks down to the gnocchi or pistachio pesto with seafood ragu and she helped guide me to the pistachio pesto option. So happy with that option. Other pastas at the table were the ravioli and some green pasta and although I loved mine, I think I loved the green pasta most! The tomato, caper and onion in oil with the bread to start was a major winning combo I had never tried before either. The space is a little tight but cozy, intimate and quaint. A MUST TRY!

I used to go to Piccolo Cucina when I worked on the area a decade ago and it's still just as a solid choice as back then. Transport yourself to Italy in the summer and enjoy happy hour al fresco while people watching. I had a time restraint and the staff was courteous and quick! Love the complimentary bread too. Can't wait until it's warm again to do this but the interior is cozy too!

Came here last night for dinner and wow, the food was so delicious. I will say, I had every. Intention before going there to get a pasta dish but when I saw they had branzino on the menu, I had to try! For my side, I ordered their grilled vegetables that came with eggplant and zucchini. The portion of the branzino came with TWO large slices (I was full from only one). My boyfriend got their Maccheroni alla Norma, which was an eggplant pasta dish. So light, flavorful and the pasta was freshly handmade. For our appetizer, we ordered the tuna tartar. Every bit was so fresh and flavorful. I can't pick a favorite because everything was so tasty! It's a wine bar so no cocktails were served. The restaurant is small so reservations are a must. I felt cramped at our table but the food is definitely worth it! Service was great and attentive the whole evening. Adding this place on my list of favorites!!

I came here on my own for dinner during a recent business trip. I actually went to their sister restaurant around the corner first but they were not taking walk-ins, and referred me to this one. Supposedly, the menu is the same. I only had to wait in line for a bit before getting seated outside. I had the green tagliatelle with ragu sauce and the Torte 7 Veli for dessert. They also gave you complimentary bread with a a tomato dip. The wait staff came back quickly to take my order, and the food came out quickly. My only feedback was that the guy never came back with Parmesan cheese after I said yes to where I wanted Parmesan cheese. Maybe he heard me wrong. It wasn't that big of a deal for me to ask again. It was dark, but there was enough lighting in the outdoor seating area. The pasta was good. Cooked perfectly with a good sauce. The torte was good as well. Overall, good, solid tasting pasta.

Ambiance: (4/5) It a small restaurant but they have a lot of tables outside. I think they shouldn't leave plates and cups on the tables as dirt and things off the street get on the tables/ plates. I had to get new plates. Price: (3/5) I think it a bit overpriced for the portions, even for the area. Food: (4/5) they brought out bread with sun dried tomatoes and it was really good. The bread was super soft and the tomatoes were perfect. I tried the ravioli and thought it had a really complex flavor profile. I just think the meat was not seasoned. The gnocchi was also good. It was a bit on the tomato-y side (a little sour) but the beef was perfectly cooked. Service: (4/5) It took a while to get a server to take our order and get the bill, but the food came out quick so that was their saving grace.

I love everything about this place. From the beach-y decor to the welcoming vibe that this place offers. I were here for their lunch special and it was so good. Definitely a good deal since it was very fulfilling, but also tasty at the same time. With the lunch special, they also include bread with olive oil! What a great deal The server was very nice and attentive. We have a pleasant time dining here , for sure will come back

Found this by a fluke of google searches. Couldn't ask for more. We had a reservation, they were packed, they have outdoor and indoor seating, indoor is beautiful so we waited an extra 10 mins for that. It was a very intimate setting and the staff was very attentive, we loved it. We were given a complimentary rice ball due to having to wait an extra 20-30 mins. We had their burrata, very nice, fresh. We had the bruschetta truffles, carpaccio was perfectly placed in this dish. Our entrees were top notch. The reason went was the carpaccio de Pepe. Amazing, Aldente is how you want pasta but this could have been cooked I minute longer. Mushroom carbonara could have had something more flavor wise... but still very tasty. Very fun to take a date or night with a friend. I would just say 2 people is the best.
